The pricing I've seen suggests that they want to make money
selling a few copies. If they wanted to sell lots they wouldn't be
charging so much. Of course, they actually have a business that is
working, and people are paying, and maybe they actually have
people whose primary job it is to support and develop the
software... so maybe I shouldn't complain. <g>
