Bruce,

	I'm not certain how the user can turn it off, but there is a 
mechanism for the GroupWise administrator to turn it off globally.  Ask 
the GroupWise adminstrator about this - I personally don't know what the 
switch is or where it's located.

	I've had similar problems when my lists head into MS Mail 
country, and the send has set "return-receipt"...  Grr....
