Well, your rules, as stated, don't cover "retail advertisements."
Here's my suggestion:
* Tell the one-liners that yes, that's advertising (their retail
website).
* Tell them that your list does not permit retail advertising (you
only talk about announcements of new products and postings by
individuals, not by stores).
* Tell them that once a month, they can submit a one-liner to you
(not the list) and you'll summarize with a monthly posting listing
online retail stores with URLs, as a public service for your
list members.
That's what I'd do.
