My advice: do not get involved in what transpired between two list members
outside your presence.  You will always get conflicting stories of who did
what to whom and get nothing but shit for guessing wrong or taking the wrong
"side."  This did happen on the APT list.

Restrict your actions to ONLY be based on what appears on your list, and
advise your listmembers, if you have not already, that posting here may
invite unsolicited or unwelcome e-mail.
