Much akin to handing a child a loaded gun. Then saying, they're not
responsible for the consequences.

If they are going to provide access to the Internet -- then it is
their responsiblity to make sure that their subscribers have down the
basics before venturing out. It's not our job as list owners to train
their people. They're the ones who are getting paid for the service
-- we're not.

I agree not all AOL people fit this picture. Basically it's the 15
now 50 day "wonders". Who take advantage of AOL's free offer and then
stop using it. Many AOL people on my list are very responsible.
However, it's the 50 day "wonders" that wreck havoc.

This is another example of AOL irresponsibility. They know they can't
handle the load, yet, they continue to advertise their services and
offer -- and expect everyone else to just deal with their
subscribers.

>From my standpoint, it is not the AOL subscribers I get the most
frustrated with -- it's AOL itself -- who refuses to take
responsibility for itself. They're like some giant dinoasaur,
trampling things underfoot without a thought, just as long as they
can say they now have 30 million subscribers.
