It is not just AOL subscribers that do this though. I've noticed that
quite a few subscribers to mailing lists never read anything you send
them, including notices at the bottom of posts and/or Welcome Messages.
Yesterday, I received a really p*ssed-off email from someone who had
been trying to unsub by sending the command to our former ISP, which we
haven't used since JULY. And I repost the "how to unsub" info probably
every 2 weeks or so.... (sigh)

My DH is now on AOL, trying them out again. Tonight he told me that AOL
had posted a message, saying their entire service would be down tomorrow
morning (Thursday) from 4:30 am - 6:30 am, because they're upgrading
something or other. Sounds like I'm going to have more than a fair
share of bounces tomorrow...

Just thought you all might like to know. :-)

The person who doesn't make any mistakes
probably doesn't do much.
