There are list managers that like to set things up this way for reasons
they believe are valid. This is a religious issue, mostly. Personally,
I hate it. I don't set up any of my lists that way. I only belong to
one list that is set up that way, and I have on several occasions sent
replies to the entire list without thinking that were really intended
only for the original author, and I am a relatively experienced user of
e-mail. Just one data point.
