Greetings!
I believe that many of you are missing the point. No one is arguing
with Brad's qualifications. Or, what Brad has contributed. What is
being stated is problems with AOL in general. Brad does not have
control over the marketing of AOL. This is what he is attempting to
defend.
I, for one, have also learned a lot from Brad and his postings.
However, the subject of AOL and the problems we were discussing, was
pretty much a dead subject. We had since gone on to other things. It
was Brad that came in five days later and brought this all back up.
There is a big difference between marketing and decisions made at
the top about what AOL will or will not do AND what Brad has control
over and can do, himself.
My statements concerned the lack of responsiblity that AOL as a
company has taken *not* what Brad has or has not done. In fact, I
didn't realize until the third post, that Brad was associated with
AOL. I was simply responding to his statement to me to check press
releases. These said press releases did not appear until AFTER I had
made my statements. At the time of my statements A0L had taken no
such action.
You may disagree with me in what I said. That is your right.
However, my experience with AOL still stands. Your experience may
differ. I can only make statements based upon my experience, not
yours.
Leonard
