Subject: User Unknown/Fatal Error Problem

(Digressing here for a moment....Sometimes my email to this list goes right 
through with no problem, and sometimes it takes 2 or more days to get posted.  
I have no idea why this discrepancy occurs.  However, I'm sending this 
question on to you all, hoping for the best in the speedy delivery department. 
:-)

I keep receiving the following error message from one of my subscribers (no, 
the name and address have not been changed to protect the innocent <g>.  If I 
can't trust *you guys* with some of my list info, then who can I trust?).  The 
weird thing (I think it's weird anyway) is the bounce reads "permanant fatal 
error' and "user unknown", but the next day this person's address will be just 
fine and generate zero bounces.  Then, maybe 2 days to a week later, I'll 
receive the same error message.  I usually get 5 or so of these in the space 
of a 1-2 hours. But, I won't get one bounce for every list message, which 
means that *some* of her mail must be getting through to her account.

Is there something odd going on with her server maybe?

If you reply, please remember that I am one of those who don't speak techie.
