Hey, Brad, is it true that you store your mail queues on RAM disks?
Why does AOL need 53 machines, and all the resulting DNS trouble, to
receive only a few million mail messages per day?
One site after another has outgrown sendmail's capacity---and switched
to qmail, which in every case was able to handle much higher loads.
For example, there's redhat.com, which overloaded sendmail on a 48MB
Pentium. Now qmail is handling the load on a 16MB 486/66.
